The People’s Radio was founded in 2672 by members of The People’s Alliance of Levski on Delamar in the Nyx system. TPR began by providing news and information to the community of anti-U.E.E activists. Today it offers news, entertainment, a historical context and a platform for dissident voices across the ‘verse. Upon a successful test of a converted comm array transmiter in 2947 TPR began operations to reach beyond Delamar and even the Nyx System. See our detailed recent history in the timeline below.
The beginning of the modern era of The People's Radio as our high power transmitter was tested in the system.
After a year of testing TPR brings it's high power transmissions online broadcasting beyond Nyx and into the UEE via Twitch for the very first time. For trivia contests: the first song played was the classic Celldweller tune - "End of an Empire".
An unexpected thing happened while TPR News did it's usual cutting edge investigative reporting: Two of it's stories, one covering a rogue Hurston Dynamics employee's attack on Port Olisar and another focusing on a daring rooftop raid to evacuate lifetime contract workers from Lorville appeared on Spectrum and gained widespread recognition.
The People's Radio sponsored the largest social gathering in the Stanton System in 2949. An epic pub crawl through Stanton and of course with a stop at Cafe Musain in Nyx in celebration of Yuri's Night/Spaceflight Day with support from LNO, NFI and the Exiles with security provided by Zilla's Dropship Forces (ZDF).
Levski based DnB Pop sensation Laika debuted her single "This New Ocean on TPR". In 2950 a teaser for the music video went viral on Spectrum and earned her and TPR an MVP award.
After heavy rotation on The People's Radio and blowing up underground dance charts from Pyro to Spider, Levski's own EDM duo Quantum x Skye stormed official UEE music charts by popular demand. "Is Jumptown Safe?" turned from a meme to a 10-week chart topping hit. This was their first single off their album TechNARChy. The album's second single "For All Mankind" followed to high acclaim and Skye would soon after join TPR as a resident DJ and show curator.
With the incredible rise of music coming from the community it became clear a show dedicated to this phenomenon was needed to spotlight the talent, so Community Creations was born.
TPR launched its new format of curated, genre-specific music shows and began streaming via the newly launched Mixcloud Live. The original 5 shows were Rhythm and Rhyme covering Hip Hop, Trap and R&B, Drum & Space featuring Drum 'n' Bass Music, Songs from the Outpost covering Space Folk and Country as a nod the defunct Outpost Radio, the Friday Mix Show featuring DJ Mixes from our resident DJs & guests and TimeProbe TPR's weekly history and public affairs program.

Bringing amazing Space Trance and Progressive House to TPR was Just Durgan who dropped 4 editions of Concierge Beats before going on hiatus. We hope he will return to us soon.
DJ and Music Historian DarkKnight75 joins TPR sending his "House Sessions", monthly dispatches from what he uncovered in the archives underneath the ancient city of Chicago on Earth in the Sol System.
Launched 6 new genre-themed curated shows: Ambient Reflections covering Ambient Music, Cyberphunk covering Cyberpunk, Deep Bass Mission featuring Bass Music and Dubstep, EDM Frontiers covering all flavors of Electronic Dance Music, Neon Nights featuring Synthwave and Top Rockers for Rock Hoppers featuring Electronic Rock/Future Rock. The new shows appeared to be a hit as Wade Ceneross found out while visiting Area 18 in nearby Stanton. The People's Radio have a long history of supporting the racing community and have in the past syndicated EN7's coverage of the filthiest race in the 'verse, so it was natural that with the rise of the station's popularity TPR became an official jersey sponsor of the Daymar Rally. The commercial above aired during the broadcast throughout the empire and beyond.
